Al is Ed's younger brother. Their father left home when they were very young, and their mother died. Al helped Ed in an atempt to bring there mother back to life, but it failed and cost Al his whole body, however Ed fuzed his soul into a suit of armor befor it disapired forever. Al went with Ed to seek the power and resourses to restor their bodys and bring their mother back to life.
